Fulton neighborhood crime reports
September 26 At about 6:10 p.m., police arrested 31-year-old Ian Thorpe Janus of 5136 Sheridan Ave South for 5th degree assault at Hunt & Gather, 4944 Xerxes Ave.

Forced entry property crimes
September 21 Between September 21 and 24, an unknown suspect forced open the service door of a garage on the 4100 block of Linden Hills Blvd, entered two unlocked vehicles which were parked inside, and took unlisted item(s).
September 24 Between 1 and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a home on the 5200 block of Morgan inLynnhurst and took unlisted items.
September 25 Between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m., an unknown suspect rummaged through a pickup truck which was parked behind a home on the 4500 block of Zenith in Linden Hills and took unlisted items. There was no damage to the vehicle.
September 30 Between midnight and 8 a.m., an unknown suspect burglarized a home on the 4800 block of Irving in Lynnhurst.

September 23 Between 10 p.m. and 9:30 a.m., an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked in the driveway of a home on the 4100 block of Linden Hills Blvd, rummaged through it, and took a key box with a spare key and cash.
September 25 Between 2 and 10 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a bike from the back driveway of a home on the 3900 block of France in Linden Hills. The bike was leaning against the garage, unlocked.
September 29 Between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m., an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked behind a home on the 1400 block of West Minnehaha Parkway in Lynnhurst and took an emergency preparation kit which was later found in a yard on the 4800 block of Irving.
September 27 At about 9:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle behind 4324 Ewing Ave in Linden Hills. Officers found three occupants and a small child in the vehicle and narcotics paraphernalia on the center console. 46-year-old Troy Michael Eaves, who gives that address as his residence, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a felony warrant for 5th degree possession of drugs. Eaves was arrested at the same address on September 12 after being found slumped behind the wheel of a running vehicle in the same location and in possession of a bag of methamphetamine (which field-tested positive) and a crack pipe. On September 15, Eaves was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 2300 Hennepin Ave South. Eaves has prior convictions in Minnesota since 2001 for furnishing alcohol to a minor, begging, possession of drug paraphernalia (3), failure to pay taxi fare, receiving stolen property, disorderly conduct, driving while intoxicated, and theft by swindle.
September 30 At about 9:10 p.m., police went to 4016 Linden Hills Blvd and arrested 47-year-old Stephen Daniel Gifford for a Department of Corrections felony warrant. Gifford, who gives that address as his residence, had been released from prison on work release on September 20. Gifford was sent back to prison on October 2, where he is serving a sentence for 1st degree felony driving while intoxicated. Gifford is anticipated to be released on parole on April 15, 2013. His sentence expires on April 12, 2018. Gifford has prior convictions in Minnesota since 1986 for driving while intoxicated (4), criminal damage to property, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing police on foot, disorderly conduct, tampering with a motor vehicle, offering a forged check, attempted motor vehicle theft, motor vehicle theft, receiving stolen property (2), possession of burglary tools, attempted 3rd degree burglary, 3rd degree burglary (4), and 2nd degree burglary (3).
