Fulton neighborhood crime reports
December 14 Between 2 and 6 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the enclosed front porch of a home on the 5200 block of York, opened a package which had been delivered by UPS, and stole the contents (except for the packing list). The resident noted that the package was not visible from the street or sidewalk.
December 16 At about 3:35 a.m., police responded to an address on the 5000 block of Beard. A suspect was not able to pay cab fare and told the driver that she would go into a house and get money from her boyfriend. The suspect gave the driver her cell phone to hold as collateral. The suspect bit the cab driver in the hand three times, leaving three small cuts. The driver refused medical attention. 27-year-old Madeline Marie Young of 230 Oak Grove St was cited for failure to pay taxi fare and 5th degree assault. Young has prior convictions in Mower County for trespassing, 2nd degree felony possession of a controlled substance (2), receiving stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
December 19 Between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., an unknown suspect took a package which had been delivered by the Postal Service to a home on the 4900 block of Ewing. The package had been left outside the front door. A neighbor found the empty package in their front yard and returned it to the resident.
December 20 At about 2:10 a.m., officers responded to a call on the 5300 block of Chowen. A suspect broke a vinyl gate in the backyard of a home. 24-year-old William Patrick Richards of 3506 West 52nd St was arrested for criminal damage to property. Richards has prior convictions in Stearns and Wadena Counties for underage consumption of liquor, 5th degree felony possession of a controlled substance, and 4th degree felony sale of drugs .
December 21 Between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 5100 block of Xerxes through an unlocked service door and tried, but failed, to steal a bike which was chained to a rafter.
December 21 Between 6:30 p.m. December 21 and noon December 22, an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 4900 block of Washburn through an unlocked service door and took unlisted item(s).
December 24 At about 11:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a prowler at a home on the 2600 block of West 52nd St. Officers found the suspect nearby. 40-year-old Richard George Byington Jr (no permanent address) was arrested for a Department of Corrections felony warrant. Byington was released from prison on parole on November 13 and was cited for lurking with intent to commit a crime at an address on the 4800 block of Clinton Ave on November 15. Byington has prior convictions in Hennepin County for 1st degree burglary, attempted robbery, attempted 1st degree burglary, 4th degree burglary, theft (2), possession of burglary tools, trespassing (2), attempted 2nd degree burglary, attempted theft, 3rd degree burglary (3), tampering with a motor vehicle, giving police false information, and lurking with intent to commit a crime.
January 2 Between 7 and 10 p.m., an unknown suspect broke the driver’s side rear side window of a car which was parked in the lot on the northwest corner of 50th & Ewing which serves customers of Pig & Fiddle, 3812 West 50th St, and took a laptop computer.

Forced entry property crimes
December 11 Between 8:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., a home on the 5800 block of Dupont in Kenny was burglarized.
December 12 Between 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., an unknown suspect removed a screen and broke a window of a home on the 3900 block of Thomas in Linden Hills. The suspect did not gain entry to the home.
December 17 Between 12:30 and 8:30 p.m., an unknown suspect pushed in the back door of a home on the 5800 block of Dupont in Kenny and took unlisted item(s).
December 24 Between December 24 and 29, an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 5100 block of Oliver in Lynnhurst and took unlisted items.
December 30 Between midnight and noon, an unknown suspect entered a vehicle which was parked on the street on the 5600 block of Aldrich in Kenny, rummaged through it, and took and iPod and charger.
December 19 Between 5:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 4200 block of Washburn in Linden Hills through an open overhead door and took change and a ring from a vehicle which was parked inside. The ring was recovered.
December 12 At about 12:25 a.m., officers responded to a home on the 1200 block of West 50th St in Lynnuurst. A suspect had forced entry to her ex-boyfriend’s house. 37-year-old Tera Shamone Evans (a.k.a. Terri Shamone Campbell) of Brooklyn Center was arrested for trespassing and criminal damage to property. Evans has prior convictions in Hennepin County for carrying a pistol without a permit, 1st degree felony sale of a controlled substance, falsely reporting a crime, motor vehicle theft, giving police a false name (2), prohibited person in possession of a firearm, 2nd degree felony attempted possession of a controlled substance, and theft.
December 17 At about 1:35 a.m., a suspect knocked several times on the front door of a home on the 5500 block of Dupont in Kenny, then went to the back door and knocked several times. The suspect then tried to force open the back door, but fled on foot when a resident inside pounded on a window.
December 19 At about 7:25 p.m., officers at 54th & Fremont in Kenny stopped a vehicle with no tail lights. 28-year-old Eric Michael Bohumil of Burnsville was arrested for driving with a revoked license and a gross misdemeanor warrant for an uninsured vehicle violation. Bohumil has prior convictions in Minnesota for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia in a motor vehicle, trespassing (2), obstructing the legal process, check forgery, fleeing police on foot, theft (3), criminal damage to property, possession/sale of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia (2), 5th degree assault, 5th degree felony possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree burglary (4), and 2nd degree burglary.
