Fulton neighborhood crime reports

October 5  Between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 4900 block of Drew through an unlocked service door and took unlisted item(s) from vehicles which were parked inside.

October 9  At about 10:20 p.m., officers were flagged down by a group of juveniles at 50th & York.  Two 14-year-old females were cited for curfew violation and released to their mother.

October 11  Between midnight and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect broke the rear passenger side window of a vehicle which was parked on the street on the 4900 block of Xerxes and took a duffel bag containing pheasant hunting pants.

October 11  At about 8:30 p.m., a juvenile male was assaulted and his cell phone was taken at Pershing Park, 3523 West 48th St.  The victim developed suspect information via Facebook.

October 11  At about 8:30 p.m., police at 48th & Abbott cited a 15-year-old female for consumption of liquor by a minor.

October 12  Between midnight and noon, an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked in the driveway of a home on the 5200 block of Drew and took a backpack from the floor by the front passenger seat.

October 12  Between midnight and noon, an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked in the rear driveway of a home on the 5300 block of Ewing and rummaged through it.  No loss was reported.

October 12  Between 4 and 7 p.m., an unknown suspect broke the rear passenger side window of a vehicle which was parked on the ground level of the lot at the Pinehurst Building, 4999 France Ave, and took a tote bag containing a laptop computer from the back seat.

October 14  Between 10 a.m. and noon, a theft from motor vehicle occurred at the Pinehurst Building, 4999 France Ave.

October 20  At about 1:55 a.m., police at an address on the 4700 block of Xerxes arrested 19-year-old Nicholas Larry Battig of Richfield and Charlotte Sullivan MacMartin of 4724 Xerxes Ave South for felony narcotics violations.

October 22  At about 8:30 a.m., police at 47th & Drew cited two sixteen-year-old males for possession of drug paraphernalia.

October 24  At about 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a domestic incident at an address on the 5200 block of Xerxes which turned out to involve damage to a motor vehicle.  The suspect resisted arrest.  18-year-old Mackenzie Cole Terrell Osgood of Chaska was arrested for damage to motor vehicle and obstructing the legal process.

October 29  Between 7:30 and 9 p.m., an unknown suspect broke a window of a vehicle which was parked on the street at 51st & Xerxes and took a backpack from the front seat.

October 29  Between 8 and 9 p.m., an unknown suspect broke out the rear passenger side window of a vehicle which was parked on the street at 51st & France and took unlisted items.

November 3  Between 12:30 and 3 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a bike from a garage on the 4900 block of Drew.  There was no sign of forced entry.

Forced entry property crimes

 

October 4  Between October 4 and 6, an unknown suspect entered the underground garage of a condo building on the 4400 block of Upton in Linden Hills and took a bike.

October 7  Between 12:30 and 8 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a vehicle which was parked on the street on the 5900 block of Newton in Armatage.

October 10  Between 7:45 a.m. and 4 p.m., an unknown suspect cut the screen of a ground-level window at a home on the 5300 block of Girard in Lynnhurst and tried to push the hinged window open, but it was locked.  No entry was made to the home.

October 12  Between 8:30 p.m. and noon, an unknown suspect stole a vehicle which was parked on the street at 43rd & Upton in Linden Hills.

October 15  Between 7:30 p.m. and 7 a.m., an unknown suspect took a bike from a garage on the 4000 block of Linden Hills Blvd and left another bike behind at the scene.

October 20  Between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 4200 block of Chowen in Linden Hills and rummaged through a vehicle which was parked inside.  No loss was reported.

October 26  Between noon October 26 and 6 a.m. October 27, an unknown suspect rummaged through a vehicle which was parked behind a home on the 5200 block of Morgan in Lynnhurst.   There was no information regarding any loss.

October 26  Between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a vehicle which was parked in front of a home on the 4100 block of Vincent in Linden Hills, rummaged through it, and took unlisted items.

October 27  Between 1 and 9 a.m., an unknown suspect broke a window of a vehicle which was parked in front of a home on the 4100 block of Ewing in Linden Hills and took unlisted items.  The items were subsequently recovered by a neighbor.

November 6  Between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., an unknown suspect smashed a window of a vehicle which was parked on the street at 42nd & France in Linden Hills.  No loss was reported.

November 6  Between midnight and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle which was parked in the driveway of a home on the 5400 block of Knox in Kenny, rummaged through it, and took a bag of quarters.

November 7  Between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a bike from a garage on the 4600 block of Upton in Linden Hills.

Unsecured property

October 10  Between October 10 and 12, an unknown suspect entered an unsecured garage on the 4900 block of Aldrich in Lynnhurst and took unlisted item(s).

October 15  Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a bike from a garage on the 6100 block of Vincent in Armatage.  The overhead garage door had been open between 9 and 11 p.m.  The suspect left another bike at the scene; it was in the path of the automatic garage door controls which prevented the door from closing. 

October 16  Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a grill and smoker from the side yard of a home on the 4100 block of Washburn in Linden Hills.

October 17  At about 5:40 a.m., an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked in the driveway of a home on the 4000 block of York in Linden Hills and used the garage door opener to gain access to the garage.  The suspect rummaged through a vehicle which was parked inside the garage and then took a bike and fled northbound.  The suspect left another bike behind at the scene.

October 20  Between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 4000 block of Washburn in Linden Hills through an unlocked service door and took a bike.  The suspect left another bike behind.

October 22  Between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m., an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked at a home on the 6100 block of Xerxes in Armatage and used a garage door opener to gain access to the garage.  The suspect stole a bike and the garage door opener.

October 22  Between 10 p.m. and 5:20 a.m., an unknown suspect entered an unlocked garage on the 5200 block of Girard in Lynnhurst and rummaged through two vehicles which were parked inside.  No loss was reported.

November 4  Between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a home on the 4600 block of Drew through an unsecured back door, took a purse, and then stole a vehicle.  The victim’s iPhone tracked the vehicle to 19th & Clinton where police located and recovered it.

Other incidents

October 10  At about 1:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle at 42nd St & Linden Hills Blvd.  An occupant was reported to be smoking something from a vial.  Officers found the vehicle and the two occupants were uncooperative, refused to follow commands, and then actively resisted arrest.  20-year-old Lauren Marie Marshall-Comstock of 3928 Sheridan Ave South and 19-year-old Darren Allen Barkley of 2931 39th Ave South were arrested for felony narcotics violations.

October 15  At about 11:35 p.m., officers responded to a silent alarm at Southwest High School, 3414 West 47th St.  The alarm company notified the officers that three males were inside the school.  A K-9 unit was brought in to search the premises.  A 15-year-old male was cited for curfew violation, open bottle, possession of liquor by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, and trespassing.  A 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were cited for curfew violation and trespassing.  The suspects were transported to the Juvenile Supervision Center.

October 30  At about 5:30 a.m., police at an address on the 4900 block of Colfax in Lynnhurst cited 21-year-old Anthony James Sherman of 3118 Stevens Ave for lurking with intent to commit a crime.  The suspect was in possession of change and wires.  The suspect was transported to his residence.

November 6  At about 9 p.m., police at an address on the 4600 block of Zenith in Linden Hills cited 22-year-old Cecelia Catherine Samson of 4147 Pillsbury Ave for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Fulton Safety Committee will meet on Tuesday, November 26, at 7 p.m.
