Fulton neighborhood crime reports

January 10 

Between 5 and 7 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a vehicle which was parked in the lot on the west side of the 5100 block of Ewing and took a laptop bag containing a computer and iPad.  The victim stated that the vehicle could have been unlocked.  On January 12, the victim received a phone call from an unknown female who stated that she had found the computer and bag (but no mention of an iPad) in a snowbank at the Franklin Ave LRT station.  The female said that she would call the victim back to return the belongings, but the victim has not received another call.

January 15

Between 8:30 a.m. and  3 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered a home on the 4700 block of France through an unlocked side door and took a laptop computer from a bedroom and a PlayStation 4 from the basement.

January 16  At about 1:25 p.m., police cited two 17-year-old females for possession of a small amount of marijuana and loitering with intent to buy or sell narcotics at an address on the 4700 block of Chowen.  The suspects were subsequently suspended from school.

January 20  Between January 20 and 28, unknown suspect(s) stole a ground thawing machine from an address on the 4900 block of Xerxes.

January 23  Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect smashed out the front driver’s side window of a vehicle which was parked on the 2900 block of West 47th St, entered the vehicle, opened the trunk, and stole a custom bike.

January 23  Between 9 p.m. and noon, an unknown suspect stole the rear license plate from a vehicle which was parked at an address on the 5200 block of Beard.

January 26  Between 3 p.m. January 26 and noon January 27, an unknown suspect damaged the front door of the Chiromed Clinic, 5355 Penn Ave.  Any additional loss was not reported.

January 27  Between 5 p.m. and 7:15 a.m., an unknown suspect broke the front glass door of National Salon Resource Center, 3619 West 50th St, and pushed it in.  Any additional loss was not reported.

February 1  Between 7 p.m. and 11:30 a.m., unknown suspect(s) threw a number of eggs at a vehicle which was parked on the street at 54th & Zenith.

February 6  Between 6 p.m. and 6:25 a.m., an unknown suspect broke out the glass on the front door of Southwest Firestone, 5009 Xerxes Ave, entered the building, and took unlisted items.

February 8  Between 8:40 and 9:25 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a vehicle from an address on the 4900 block of Drew.  The vehicle had been left unlocked and running, with the keys in the ignition.
