Jennifer Waisanen, our new 5th Precinct Crime Prevention Specialist, will attend the Fulton Safety committee meeting on Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 4801 France Ave. Please join us in welcoming her to the neighborhood!
Jennifer, who replaces Amy Lavender, has been with the Police department since 1996, first as a 911 operator and then, starting in 1999, as a Crime Prevention Specialist. She has worked in the 3rd Precinct, the 5th Precinct (north of Lake Street), and most recently the 4th Precinct (in the neighborhoods between West Broadway and Dowling Ave on the north side). Fulton neighborhood crime reports
March 6 At about 1 p.m., an officer cited a 16-year-old male for possession of drug paraphernalia at an address on the 4700 block of Chowen.
March 6 Between 7 and 10 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a vehicle which was parked on the street at 50th & Ewing.
March 8 Between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m., an unknown suspect entered unlocked vehicles which were parked on the street on the 5200 block of Abbott and rummaged through them. No loss was listed in the report.
March 8 Between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked at an address on the 5000 block of Xerxes, rummaged through it, and took unlisted items.
