September 2014 Safety Report
Fulton Safety committee report: September, 2014
(Submitted by Dave Delvoye)
48th & Chowen
The committee has received the results of the City’s evaluation of possible strategies to resolve traffic problems at 48th & Chowen. The Stop signs on 48th St have been replaced with new, brighter signs and the poles have been wrapped in red tape for maximum visibility. The speed display wagon can be requested for that location from April through November. A concrete island in the center of the intersection to force slower turning maneuvers would cost about $15,000 to install and the neighborhood would have to obtain funding for it.
