Fulton neighborhood crime reports
October 6 At about 7:55 a.m., a person called 911 to report that a suspect wearing a black hoodie broke into a vehicle which was parked at East Lake Harriet Parkway & Thomas Ave. The suspect got into the passenger seat of a pickup truck with a loud muffler which drove away. The owner of the vehicle which had been broken into – the driver’s side front window had been smashed – was not present, so the loss was unknown at the time the initial report was made.
October 8 At about 9:30 a.m., an officer responded to a fight at 50th & France. Edina police had two people stopped. It was found to be a mutual fight. The victim stated that the suspect, a 25-year-old male, slapped a cell phone out of the victim’s hand – she was going to call 911 for police. The phone fell to the ground and the battery fell out, preventing the victim from making the 911 call. The suspect then claimed that he was having medical issues and asked to be taken to a hospital. October 23 Between 8:00 and 8:20 p.m., an unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side window of a vehicle which was parked in the lot at Pig & Fiddle, 3812 West 50th St, and took a work bag from the back seat containing 15 keys, headphones, a 401k statement, $320 cash, two checks, and other items.

Between 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. the same day, two vehicles parked at Cave Vin, 5555 Xerxes Ave in Armatage, were also broken into and items were taken. At about 9 p.m., police responded to an address on the 5000 block of Oliver – in an alley, near a garage – where a person had recovered some of the items stolen in these three thefts, including the briefcase – but not the laptop – from the first incident.
