Fulton Safety Committee report – August 10, 2016

Crime reports

July 12  Between 8:25 and 8:55 a.m., an unknown suspect smashed out the front passenger side window of a vehicle which was parked in the lot at Pershing Park, 3523 West 48th St and took a purse which was in plain sight on the front seat.

July 14  Between 8 a.m. July 14 and 8 a.m. July 15, an unknown suspect stole a bike from a garage on the 4800 block of Russell.

July 16  At about 4:10 p.m., a resident of a home on the 4800 block of York saw a white pickup truck with ladders attached on the sides stop in the alley next to the garage.  The driver got out and took part of a water fountain from in front of the garage and put it in the truck.  The driver got back into the truck and drove southbound in the alley.

July 18  Between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle which was parked next to the garage behind a home on the 5100 block of Sheridan and took a garage door opener and sunglasses.

July 19  Between 7:30 and 9:15 a.m., an unknown suspect damaged the front windshield of a vehicle which was parked at a home on the 5100 block of Washburn.

July 19  Between noon and 5 p.m., an unknown suspect attempted to burglarize a home on the 5000 block of Sheridan by prying open a window, but did not gain entry.  A PODS storage unit was pried open and wrought iron chains and a tote containing vitamins and kitchen utensils were stolen.

July 21  Between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect stole a bike from a locked garage on the 4700 block of Drew.

July 22  Between 5:30 p.m. July 22 and 10:30 a.m. July 24, an unknown suspect burglarized a garage on the 5300 block of Abbott and entered a storage unit which was parked on the street and took unlisted items.

July 24  Between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a garage on the 5000 block of Upton through an open overhead door and stole a bike.

July 26  At about 3:45 p.m., suspects stole unlisted items from Robert Foote Jeweler, 5009 France Ave.

August 6  At about 9:35 p.m., officers responded to a burglary alarm at Lake Harriet Community School, 4912 Vincent Ave.  Officers found an open door on the west side of the school and three suspects next to it.  A 14-year-old male and two 15-year-old males were arrested for burglary of business and transported to the Juvenile Unit.

August 8  At about 4:55 a.m., officers responded to a burglary of dwelling on the 4800 block of Drew.       43-year-old Michael Allen Davis and 38-year-old Amber Myhre, both of 416 Knox Ave North, were arrested for burglary of dwelling and possession of burglary tools.

The Fulton Safety Committee meets Tuesday, August 30, at 7:00 p.m.
