Crime reports

November 5  Between November 5 and 7, an unknown suspect entered a home on the 5300 block of Ewing and took a safe deposit box.

November 7  At about 4:45 a.m., a resident of a home on the 5100 block of Zenith noticed that the interior light of her vehicle, which was parked near the alley, was on and that a person was standing at the driver’s door.  The resident turned on the back yard light and opened the door of the home.  The person closed the door of the vehicle, got on a bike, and rode away.

November 7  Between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a bike which was locked to a No Parking sign at 47th & Abbott.

November 13  Between 8 p.m. and 6:15 a.m., a vehicle was stolen from an address on the 4900 block of Sheridan.

November 17  Between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., an unknown suspect stole a bike from a bike rack at Lake Harriet Community School, Upper Campus, at 4912 Vincent Ave.

November 19  Between 9 p.m. and 10:15 a.m., a garage burglary was reported at an address on the 4700 block of Drew.

November 19  Between 10 p.m. and 11 a.m., thefts from motor vehicles were reported at an address on the 4700 block of Drew.

November 21  Between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., an unknown suspect rummaged through the center console and glove boxes of a vehicle which was parked on the street at an address on the 5000 block of Queen and took unlisted items.

November 22  Between 5:45 and 6:20 p.m., a burglary was reported at a home on the 4700 block of Vincent.  A resident has video of a suspect inside the house.

November 30  At about 3 p.m., a shoplifting incident occurred at N’etc, 5005 France Ave.  The suspect was gone when police arrived.

December 5  At about noon, a suspect stole a baseball bat valued at $300 from General Sports, 5025 France Ave.  Police took a screen shot from surveillance video at the business.

December 9  Between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., an unknown suspect entered a vehicle which was parked on the street at an address on the 4700 block of Drew, rummaged through it, and took about $25 cash from the glove compartment.  The suspect also entered another vehicle at this address, which was unlocked and parked in the yard, and took a wallet containing a driver’s license, credit card, and $220 cash.

Please note:  The Safety committee will not meet in December.
