Community Engagement committee
Ruth will work with the Board to start planning a networking event for community members. There was a discussion about whether FNA should sponor a charity donation event.
The Safety committee will not meet in December.
Ruth will remind the Environment committee to submit a budget for 2017 to the Finance committee within the next couple of months.
Ruth will send the annual Attorney General report to the Board.
For the past three fiscal years, FNA has received an average income of less than $50,000 and therefore does not need to submit a full Form 990 to the IRS. A short online report can be submitted instead.
So far, only one application has been received for FNA’s 2017 grant program. The deadline for submissions is 12/31. There was a discussion about changing the deadline date for the next round of grants.
There was a discussion about funding a senior outreach project. Last year, Normandale Center for Healing and Wholeness received an FNA grant for providing a balance class for seniors. This project was popular but is not eligible for another grant.
