Fulton Safety Committee report – February 8, 2017

Crime reports

January 22  At about 7:35 a.m., a suspect armed with a black handgun robbed Dunn Bros Coffee, 5008 Xerxes Ave.  The suspect took cash and then fled in a white minivan.  Police identified witnesses and processed the scene for evidence.  Police later issued a crime alert with surveillance camera images of the suspect.

January 29  At about 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance at 5133 Zenith Ave.  Officers arrested an 18-year-old male, who listed a home address in the neighborhood, for felony theft.  The male was subsequently released from jail with no bail required and without being charged after a 36-hour hold expired.  Five victims were listed in the police report: 27-year-old male (theft from person), 17-year-old female (threats), 21-year-old male (5th degree assault, threats), 17-year-old female (5th degree assault, threats), 19-year-old male (5th degree assault, threats).

February 4  Between 3 and 5 p.m., an unknown suspect broke a side window of a vehicle which was parked in the rear driveway of a home on the ­5200 block of Washburn.
