Fulton Caroling Party
December 20, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
What is a Caroling Party?
Looking to spread joy this holiday season? Join Fulton neighbors and park staff as we sing carols and spread cheer to each other and our surrounding neighbors. We will meet inside Pershing Park Recreation Center and head outside together to sing. Afterward, we will meet back at the park for warm drinks and snacks and even bingo if time allows.
What songs will we sing?
Linked here is a copy of the songbook we will be singing from. We will most likely be singing easy songs for people to sing for example Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Deck the Halls, Let it Snow, Silver Bells, It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Up on the House Top, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.
Do I need to be a professionally trained singer to participate?
People with any level of singing experience are invited to participate. If possible, please practice the songs beforehand. The best part of caroling is watching the reactions of the people who open their doors and you don’t need to be singing to get in on that joy. If you are a non-singer but would still like to participate you could be a bell ringer. (We will provide some bells.)
What should I wear?
Dress for the weather; we plan to be outside for at least one hour. Don’t be afraid to include some festive accessories like Santa hats or reindeer headbands.
What should I bring?
- Hand warmers
- Headlamp or flashlight to light your way
- Bring bells or instruments that could be used during our caroling if you have them
Where will we be caroling?
Within walking distance of Pershing Park. If we have enough participants we may split off into groups with all routes leading back to the park for warm drinks and snacks.
