Trip #1. Saturday, October 9, 2010. Apple ‘n Cheese Trip. Don’t miss our annual fall harvest trip! We’ll start out at the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market for produce and other interesting bargains. Then, we’ll head to the Bass Lake Cheese Factory in Bass Lake, Wisconsin. Bass Lake has GREAT-tasting cheese (they produce it using only natural vegetable based processes). They provide all the local area food co-ops with their natural cheeses. After our cheese stop, we’ll head into Stillwater. You can bring a picnic lunch, eat in a local restaurant, or just do some shopping. After lunch, we’ll make a stop at Aamodt’s Apple Orchards & Winery for you to pick up your favorite apples and apple products. Finally, we’ll take a stop for shopping and ice cream in Afton, Minnesota – a perfect way to end a wonderful fall day. Whew! It’s going to be a busy day, but you can be sure you’ll have some of your favorite fall vegetables & treats to last the whole winter! The coach bus will leave the Chowen Ave. parking lot at 8:30 a.m., and we’ll return there at 5:00 p.m. Cost: Adults $35.00. The cost covers transportation, coffee & sweet rolls from Wuollet’s.
Trip #2. Saturday, November 6, 2010. St. Croix River Ramble Trip. Enjoy a ramble down the St. Croix valley on a beautiful fall day!
