Canning 101

Learn how to safely preserve food through canning! This introductory course is taught by a Hennepin County Master Gardener. Even better - each participant gets one jar of strawberry jam. Cost $10/person. Register with activity umber 3205 at www.minneapolisparks.org/register

Fulton Caroling Party

What is a Caroling Party? Looking to spread joy this holiday season? Join Fulton neighbors and park staff as we sing carols and spread cheer to each other and our surrounding neighbors. We will meet inside Pershing Park Recreation Center and head outside together to sing. Afterward, we will meet back at the park for warm drinks and snacks and even bingo if time allows.   What songs will we sing? Linked here is a copy of the songbook we will be singing from.  We will most likely be singing easy songs for people to sing for example Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Deck the Halls, Let it Snow, Silver Bells, It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Up on the House Top, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.  Do I need to be a professionally trained singer to participate? Make your own leprechaun traps

We need your help to catch the Leprechaun that has been spotted running around Pershing Park. Join us as we build leprechaun traps and play bingo. Earth Day Cleanup and Electronics Recycling at Pershing Park

Saturday April 18, 9:30-1:00, Pershing Park A Pershing Park tradition! Join your Fulton neighbors for family-friendly Earth Day fun and service. Volunteers will be on-hand to coordinate trash cleanup in the park, raking and mulching, and flower planting. We’ll provide supplies along with FREE coffee and donuts! We’ll also be staging an electronics recycling drive in the parking lot, sponsored by Free Geek Twin Cities, with on-site data destruction for many devices. See this list of acceptable items (TVs, computers, printers, phones, chargers, cords, media, and more!). Please sign up HERE to help us plan volunteer tasks (and prevent food waste).
