In response to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Fulton Neighborhood Association would like to be of assistance in helping to keep our community safe and have access to needed resources. We know that there are some in our community who are at higher risk for serious complications should they contract the virus and may be unwilling, or unable, to leave their homes.
If you know of a neighbor who might be in need (seniors, those with compromised immune systems, single parents taking care of young children, etc.), please consider contacting them to check in and see if they need any help. This can be done by e-mail, a phone call or a note on the door introducing yourself and offering your help or assistance to find the help that they may need. Please be sure to practice safe social distancing while doing so!
Check in with your Block Leader to see if they have started this work already and offer your assistance in contacting vulnerable neighbors.
Keep in mind that not everyone has a computer or is tech savvy – your assistance may be needed to connect them with whatever information they may need: Meals on Wheels, a food shelf or general health and safety information.
If you have any ideas on how the neighborhood association can contribute to coping with the COVID-19 crisis while abiding with the guidelines for safe behavior, we welcome your input. You can email us at info@fultonneighborhood.org.
