Fulton Trashbasher Recycles for a Good Cause
Besides preparing for a Zero Waste Fulton Festival, Fulton resident Nancy Lo has recently started collecting the following for recycling:
- Granola/energy/nutrition/cereal/protein bar wrappers
- Candy wrappers (all brands and sizes)
- Cookie wrappers (all brands and sizes)
- Corks (natural and synthetic)
- Chip bags (all brands and sizes)
- Coffee-bean bags (all brands and sizes)
- Juice pouches (all brands, please empty juice out)
These will all go to TerraCycle (http://www.terracycle.net/), which makes new products out of “trash.” The money she raises will go to support Linden Hills Power and Light (LHP&L), a neighborhood non-profit working on energy conservation and waste reduction. Each wrapper, bag, and pouch will generate 2 cents for LHP&L. For more details, visit Nancy’s blog at http://trashbasher.blogspot.com/. E-mail Nancy if you’d like to recycle these items at nanlo@fastmail.fm.
