The Fulton Neighborhood Association stands firmly with all our neighbors in this difficult moment. We especially stand with those who are experiencing fear and anger due to increased activity from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in our city and surrounding areas.
We believe that true public safety is built on trust and a strong community fabric where everyone, regardless of immigration status, feels secure accessing schools, medical appointments, workplaces, restaurants, stores and community services without fear. The unwarranted increased federal presence and brazen acts by federal agents, including ICE agents, erodes trust between residents and local officials, puts the safety of residents at risk, harms our economy, and destabilizes our neighborhood and city.
We condemn this attack on our city, which is an abuse of power and fails to focus on actual threats to public safety, instead targeting vulnerable people.
Fear is a weapon; solidarity is our strength. We will continue to stand together to defend and protect our immigrant neighbors.
Our Commitment to the Neighborhood
Solidarity: We are dedicated to being a welcoming and inclusive community and reject attempts to create fear or division.
Resources and Support: We will provide information and resources to help neighbors protect their rights and families.
