Lake Harriet Community School Equity Team Presents a Night with Maggie Hagerman, author of White Kids: Growing Up with Privilege in a Racially Divided America

  • April 8, 2019
  • Uncategorized

On Wed., May 1, author Maggie Hagerman will be speaking at Southwest High school at 7 p.m.

Ms. Hagerman is the author of White Kids: Growing Up with Privilege in a Racially Divided America. The book explores questions such as, “How do white kids learn about race when they grow up in families that do not talk openly about race or acknowledge its impact?” and “What about children growing up in families with parents who consider themselves to be ‘anti-racist’?”

This event is free and open to the public.

We hope to see you there. Sponsored by Lake Harriet Community School and the Fulton Neighborhood Association.
