The shores of Lake Calhoun have seen many changes in the last 150 years. Historians Peter Sussman and Aaron Isaacs have compiled a pictorial record of the lake’s history, from the well known to the obscure. Join us on Saturday, December 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the Great Hall at the Bakken Museum for a surprising look at the lake you thought you knew. The cost is $3 for non-members and is free for Linden Hills History Study Group (LHHSG) members. The Bakken Museum is located at 3537 Zenith Ave. S. Parking is available behind the museum and on the street.
Optional lunch to follow the program at 12 noon at The View Restaurant adjacent to the Calhoun Beach Club, 2730 West Lake Street. We will be ordering off their regular menu. To reserve your space for lunch, contact Rhea at rhea.sullivan@gmail.com or 612-386-6974 by December 3. (Complimentary parking in Calhoun Beach Club ramp.)
