The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) will once again be accepting nominations from the public for the Martin Luther King, Jr. “Living the Dream” award. As part of the MPRB annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration, the park system honors an individual, business, or community group who has demonstrated dedication and distinguished service to the MPRB and the lives of Minneapolis residents. The honoree must act consistently with the teachings and examples of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as the award is intended to recognize those whose work embodies Dr. King’s message of justice for all and commitment to community. Award recipients will be honored at the January 18, 2016 (6:30–7:30 pm) celebration held at Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Recreation Center.
